The Beginning

It all started with a breakup, as all the best stories do. And breakup is taking it nicely. I was dumped, I’m not ashamed to say it. In no way am I exaggerating that it came out of nowhere too. We had just returned back to my place after a family party at his Grandmother's house when I heard the words “we need to talk”. And just like that it was over. Another failed relationship. It’s safe to say that I definitely did not see this coming at all. It’s not like I expected to marry him, but I thought at the very least we would make it past the one year mark. We had holiday plans, vacation plans, heck we even had plans for the very next day. But none of that mattered anymore.
Have no fear, this is no sob story or anything of the kind. I’m also not going to say that him breaking up with me was the best thing that happened to me (even though it kind of was), I wouldn’t give him that satisfaction. This guy was absolute scum...issues with drinking, smoking, drugs, gambling, other women…the whole 9 yards. I mean, he was in a serious relationship 2 weeks after breaking up with me…you do the math. I really am lucky to have gotten out relatively unscathed, yet that doesn’t stop him from calling and texting me to get back together despite said girlfriend. Trust me, lesson learned on that one.
This whole experience helped me open my eyes and realize that I wasn’t happy with my life as it was. So I did a complete 180 of my life and at 26, I started over. I landed my dream job, moved to an awesome new city, met a great guy, and finally started my own photography company, KennedyPhotographyCo - something I had been wanting to do for years but never had the guts to follow through with.
So here I am, a full time accountant living in Annapolis, Maryland with my sheltie Zoey, just trying to figure out life. Most of my work features different places around Maryland, but I also have various shots from places I have traveled to over the years. I want to share with you the inspiration behind my shots, what brought me to the area, places to see and things to do, and most importantly places to eat.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time using the information provided above. I would love to hear from you with any suggestions or ideas you have for me. I also do custom prints, so if you have any requests please let me know!
Thanks guys and enjoy! :)
